Travers Hangover Play Of the Day

Saratoga Race 10 Personal Ensign Stakes

No Hangover at Power Cap as we picked our spots on the Travers card and have plenty of handicapping vigor left to take on Sundays card. We are looking for the weekend stakes double for Capt. Candy Man's trainer Ian Wilkes. His charge Miss Isella is the power filly in the Personal Ensign. Go back and watch this filly's replays. It is clear that she has the heart of a champion to go along with her talent. Twice at Churchill she determinedly bullied her through up a narrow opening and scored over a horse that had a much better trip. Willing to forgive the loss last time on the bog to the speedy Seventh Street. I figure it is going to take a huge performance from another contender or a disastrous trip to get Miss Isella beat today. She is the most likely winner of the day, hoping for 2-1 and some value in the exotics.

Win #4 Miss Isella

"Miss Isella, terrier like on the rail", can't wait to see her run today.

BTW, great call on the CAPT. yesterday.

Went back and forth between MISS ISELLA and ICON PROJECT and settled on the latter.

Her win in the G.3 New York H. in the mud really stood out considering this race will most likely be run on similar going considering the sloppy conditions from yesterday.

However, the faster the track becomes MISS ISELLA is a stronger choice.

May the best horse win.

No contest. Tom D. called Icon Project's margin at 13 lengths; may have been even more. She was definitely the "now" horse today.

Icon Project took early and late money that was certainly smart money. Breaking from the gate as the favorite Icon Project absolutely freaked as commenter Steve Zorn reported.

The P.C. pick Miss Isella was a disappointing forth. This female let me down, it wasn't the first time and certainly not the last. Look for her at Churchill later this year if ever.
