Not A Fluke Play Of The Day

Belmont Race 9

Grade I winner Dancing Forever returns from a October layoff here and will surely be less than even money. Yes he could win but there is a significant reward in beating him and the distance and pace will not be to his liking. A horse here with a huge pace edge in #6 Fluke. This horse is a group winner in South America and should be all alone on the lead. With a short field and the main contention being a deep closer he should be the boss up front on a slow pace. Great shot to go wire to wire.

Win #6 Fluke

Great call trying to beat the G.1 winner coming back. I didn't see the race...did BALETTI go gate-to-wire from the rail?

This will be a great prep for DANCING FOREVER...his odds will probably be 2x what they should be with so many 'cappers afraid he's not the same horse.

The G.1 United Nations on July 4 at Mth looks like a logical next stop.

Always enjoy your blogs.

No Baletti sat in the pocket right behind the speed. He swung out for the drive and powered past Fluke near the wire. Fluke ran a great race, losing the lead and gamely fighting back but he could not resist the winner and completed the $102 exacta. Dancing Forever opened cold on the board and ran a okay prep race to finish third.
